On April 24, 2007 it was announced that Green Ronin had licensed the rights to producing an “A Song of Ice and Fire” RPG with an estimated publication date of 2008. The plan is to create a new system—although this may mean a heavily-modified version of an existing game system—that will properly support play in the setting. Due to delays, the book came to the printer on January 2009.
