On February 20, 2010, Fantasy Flight Games announced Battles of Westeros a tactical wargame. Though dubbed a “Battlelore” game—implying that the game would use the Battlelore system that FFG had acquired—it in fact uses an entirely new system and is not Battlelore compatible. The game box explicitly notes plans for follow-ups and add-ons.
Battles of Westeros pits players in command of rival houses. Using order cards and dice, players can move units (plastic miniatures) across maps to suit various scenarios.
