Both yes and no.
We hope that people will try to portray the wide variety of character types we see in the books, including some that are quite far from the shining knights of songs and stories. So there is definitely room for slightly grey, very grey or even pretty black characters. We are also allowing mature language to be used.
However, having said that, the time period that the MUSH is set in is not at all as chaotic and dangerous as the time period of the books. Given this, the risks of someone dying a violent death are rather smaller than they are in the books as long as the character in question will not be spending any more time in Dorne during the remainder of the Conquest.
Finally, our default consent policy is that each player has full control over his or her character. It is, however, possible to personally choose a more limited form of consent, if you prefer less OOC negotiations and more danger.
