CharGen Approval

When you finish CharGen, your character is placed in the approval queue. While your character is waiting for approval, you cannot access the IC grid.

How fast your character is processed depends on a lot of factors, though character approvals are a priority for the Staff and every attempt is made to get them done as quickly as possible. In general, the more important or powerful the character you are applying for is, the longer the process is likely to take. The process will be slowed down by any missing information, such as an incorrect JUSTIFY, and things like a poorly formatted BACKGROUND.

When the Staff has processed your character, you will be informed of their decision via +mail. If you are approved, you will now be able to access the IC grid by typing HOME and then using +SET IC to record an IC location on the grid.

Disapproval

If you are disapproved, the +mail will inform you of what you need to do next. This depends on the degree of disapproval.

Minor Problems

These are smaller issues, usually with the justify or the background. You will be asked to reenter CharGen using +CDB/REDO. This will send you into the last room of the CharGen, and from there you can go back as far as you need (usually just a room) to fix these issues. Once done, you exit the CharGen through the Finish exit once again.

Major Problems

These are larger issues, where the selections in CharGen do not fit the concept or where there are problems with the concept as such. You will be asked to reenter CharGen using +CDB/REDO. This will send you into the last room of the CharGen, and from there you can go back as far as you need to fix these issues. Once done, you exit the CharGen through the Finish exit once again.

Unresolvable Problems

These are issues of such magnitude that the Admin feel that you will need to select a different character, usually from a lower tier. You will be asked to save any information you need, and then the Admin will reset your character, so that you can request another one.
