These Helpfiles correspond to the NEWS files found on other MU*s. They represent the core of the information needed to play the game; policies, character setup, CharGen instructions and basic thematic information. Keeping yourself up-to-date with any changes to these files is easy thanks to the Recent Changes page, and to make finding specific information a little easier, the Helpfiles have been broken up into three main groups:
The INFO files contain most of the information that you would expect to find in the NEWS files on another game, such as information about game policies, about how to create a character and so on.
The SYSTEM files contain information about important coded systems, such as the CharGen.
The THEME files contain thematic information. They are, however, intended to be relatively brief and for more in-depth thematic information we refer to other sources, such as our Concordance.
The HELP files distributed with PennMUSH are not available here, but can be accessed on-line via the PennMUSH development site and via Raevnos’s site.
