Mr. Martin has stated that he hopes to write more stories concerning "Dunk & Egg", but while he writes the series it is difficult to find the time. As of November 2005 he was well into a third story, which would be appearing in an as-yet-unnamed publication (as there will be no further Legends anthologies). Mr. Martin has since stated that he has put the story aside until A Dance with Dragons is completed.
