House Crakehall of Crakehall

A black and white brindled boar on brown

General Information

Crakehall sits beside the sea, just west of the searoad. Their motto is, “None so Fierce.” Many members of the house have been mentioned, from Lord Sumner (dead before the books began) to the current Lord Crakehall to Ser Lyle, a famous knight known as Strongboar.

Ser Burton Crakehall, Lord Roland’s brother, was killed in an ambush led by Lord Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr. Lord Crakehall was reported killed at Oxcross. Strongboar was among those captured after the unsuccessful attempt to force a crossing of the Red Fork and was held at Pinkmaiden Castle. Lord Roland Crakehall was honored in King’s Landing for his role in the victory at the Blackwater.
