House Fossoway of New Barrel

A green apple on gold

General Information

Often distinguished from their senior branch by being called the green apple Fossoways, the Fossoways of New Barrel are a proud house. The lord of the house is not yet known, but Ser Jon Fossoway has appeared. He is wed to Lady Janna, sister to Lord Mace Tyrell.

Spoilers

The branch of the green apple Fossoways was founded by Raymun Fossoway after his disagreement with his kinsman, Ser Steffon, over which side they should support in a trial by seven at Ashford in the last year of King Daeron II’s reign. Ser Jon Fossoway was captured at the Blackwater by the freerider Lothor Brune, who won the name Apple-eater for his deeds against both branches of the house.
