A Wisdom of the Alchemists’ Guild, Hallyne is described as pallid and obsequious, with damp hands. He wears striped red and black robes, the typical uniform of the pyromancers.

Roy Dotrice, the actor cast in the show, wears rather different clothing, and is certainly a great deal older than Hallyne from the novel. It’s worth noting that Dotrice was originally cast as Grand Maester Pycelle for the first season, but had to drop out before filming began for health reasons.
