Xaro Xhoan Daxos shows Daenerys his vault of “Valyrian stone”. I must say, his curved sword with its serrated upper-edge caught my eye—rather handsome, though fanciful.
The vault itself is an invention of the show. No one works “Valyrian stone” in the novels, that we know of, although it’s true that the black stone of the Valyrian roads remain unweathered and unmarked hundreds of years after they were laid down.
