Here we have our very first glimpse of Gendry, the apprentice smith, and the master armorer Tobho Mott. Dempsie, though very different in some particulars from the character as described, still manages to convey the same humble origins and something of his bull-headed stubborness. The clothing Mott is wearing certainly suggests a foreign origin, but his accent is pure English—has the Qohorik smith lived in Westeros so long that he’s lost any trace of his native accent, or are they not referring to Qohor at all?
