To the left of the candle holder is a dish that appears to be mixing couscous—a very Mediterranean, and specifically Berber, dish—with something more colorful. Color is said to be very important to the food in King’s Landing, to give the sense of richness, warmth, and vitality that characterizes the show’s rendition of the royal capital.
