This seems to be a single-edged, slightly curved weapon, and we’re pretty certain that it survived to the show as we believe it’s Viserys’s sword. In the novels, it’s said Magister Illyrio has given the exiled Targaryen prince a sword, and this must be it. That the Free City of Pentos would use a curving blade like this is not something specifically mentioned in the novels, but neither is it out of the realm of possibility.
