This is perhaps the best shot of the goldcloak armor we’ve received yet, showing almost the entirety of it from the front, from the burgonet-like helmet to the fantastic mail coat with a leather-and-scale enhancement on the chest. The triangle of mail you see hanging down on the chest can actually be lifted up to be attached to the burgonet’s brim to provide some additional protection the face without obscuring vision. The links of the armor are real metal—I witnessed the links being fitted together (they’re butted, not rivetted, which isn’t actually ideal in historical-terms but is much more time-effecient for their purposes) and was quite surprised when I realized that they were going all-out with the verisimilitude of the armor.
