One can more clearly see here that the Knight of Flowers has a painted lance with a swirling design that looks to our eye to be vines or perhaps roses with their stems. A terrific touch, and one that has even more of a pageantry flair than what Martin describes—many knights paint their lances for tourneys, but generally in broad stripes or swirls rather than with particular designs, which would presumably be more time-consuming (and therefore costly) to arrange.
The orange-and-black Hornwood arms can just be glimpsed at the rightmost side of the image. There’s also a black, yellow, and orange pennon that we simply can’t place.
