Ser Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale) watches as Rast (Luke McEwan) beats down on someone on the sparring ground. That someone would certainly be Samwell (John Bradley West, who confirms). The target is almost certainly Samwell Tarly, if they stick to the text. Thorne’s armor can be seen in greater detail, and looks quite cool. It appears to be some form of riveted lamellar armor, with the rivets continuing through the spaulders (shoulder armor). This is one of our favorite pieces of armoring we’ve seen for the show to date.
