The gown is quite beautiful. It’s not thebreast-baring gown described as the fashion in Qarth, but we can understand the practicalities of it all. There’s something to be said for being able to treat semi-nudity with matter-of-factness if that’s the standard of the culture (as is still the case in many indigenous cultures in Africa, South America, and elsewhere), but at the same time actors and crew might be uncomfortable, and certainly some of the foreign markets would find it quite difficult to air the programs without massive cuts.
