Here we see much of the royal family: King Robert, Queen Cersei, Prince Joffrey on the right, and Prince Tommen and Princess Myrcella on the left. The Hound stands on one side, the side nearest Joffrey (for whom he acts as sworn shield—a personal bodyguard, in a sense) and Cersei, clearly indicating where his loyalties lie. And on the other side, with Robert? Our first glimpse of the famed Ser Barristan Selmy, Barristan the Bold, the Lord Commander of Robert’s Kingsguard. This is our first glimpse of Ian McElhinney in the role, I believe, and I like what I’m seeing.
