And here, the execution itself. Wow, it looks like we’ll see everything here. Here it’s plainer that it’s a stone block—one that’s fallen over, it seems, or has been deliberately set on its side, when compared to the other standing stones—with a wooden execution bloc set into it. Most notably, to our eye, is the fact that it seems to be carved with designs which certainly mark it out as an artefact of the First Men, from whom the Starks and much of the North are descended.
