While Linda and I were out to Sweden’s beautiful capital of Stockholm for the Game of Thrones exhibit’s opening gala—more on that tomorrow, but there’ll be photos, possibly some video, and a few odds and ends—it looks like Spoiler TV scooped everyone (again—they often get ahold of these earlier than most) with the titles of the first four episodes of the highly-anticipated fifth season. We’ll put it below the cut, for those who want to avoid the possible spoilers inherent in the titles (as well as brief log lines for the first three episodes):
Episode 5.01 - The Wars to Come: Cersei and Jaime adjust to a world without Tywin. Varys reveals a conspiracy to Tyrion. Dany faces a new threat to her rule. Jon is caught between two kings. (Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Michael Slovis.)
Episode 5.02 - The House of Black and White: Arya arrives in Braavos. Pod and Brienne run into trouble on the road. Episode 5.04 - The Sons Of The Harpy
All in all, fairly prosaic titles highlighting some of the new elements introduced into this season… and that ominous first episode title, a reminder that there’s a lot more violent conflict to come.
