Ahead of the March 5th release of Game of Thrones on Blu-ray and DVD (Pre-order: UK DVD, UK Blu-ray, US DVD, US Blu-ray), HBO UK has started promoting the launch in various ways. First there was an iOs soundboard app featuring quotes from numerous characters in the first season. Then, they noted that they had a new site just to promote the release, filled with the familiar strains of Ramin Djawadi’s theme, video clips, images, and a countdown to the release.
And that’s not all, as they say. Via their Facebook page, they revealed that the Iron Throne will be in London on March 5th! Per their post:
Head on down to HMV 150 Oxford Street on 5th March and have your picture taken on the Iron Throne. Make sure to be in keeping with Westeros’ latest fashions as the best Game of Thrones inspired outfit will win an ‘exclusive and signed money can’t buy’ Game of Thrones prize. Doors open at 8am but get there early as we’ll be giving away exclusive prize packs to the first fans of the day. Like this post if you’ll be there.
