HBO has sent out a hot new poster (quite literally) to promote the second season, much in the style of the first official art.
Besides that, the release of the poster coincides with this announcement from HBO regarding the on-line Viewer’s Guide:
“For ‘Game of Thrones’ Season Two, the show’s hugely popular online Viewer’s Guide (http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/) will return with updated content and advanced new features. As we are getting closer to the premiere, this will center on a Catch-Up Guide for Season One, which walks visitors through the most essential storylines of last season with a visual, easy-to-digest layout. Fans and newbies will be able to share their favorite moments via Facebook, Twitter, etc.
“After the new season premieres on April 1, the Viewer’s Guide will be updated with all-new Season Two content: The first official map of Essos ever published, updated family trees and character pages, an expanded Appendix with new detail on Westeros, and custom map overlays that illustrate some of the most exciting action from Season Two. Again, all the content is enabled for sharing across social platforms. “
