Icelandic Actor Auditioned for Next Two Seasons?

Via a tweet from thremnir, we’ve come across this article from August which seems to have slipped under the radar. A good part of it concerns Icelandic actor and musician Guðmundur Ingi Þorvaldsson (some photos and information on his blog).

According to the interview with the actor, he’s auditioned for the show twice (both for the pilot and for the first two seasons), and has been told by the producers that they’ve been impressed with him and have asked him to be patient for the right role to come along. Perhaps the most striking thing, however, seems to be the part where the text indicates (at least, according to Google translate) that he was asked to audition for seasons 3 and 4 in October. Which naturally leads to the suspicions that, first, the producers are already thinking ahead to the next two seasons (which they’ve indicated would be necessary to cover A Storm of Swords)... and that this may be our first look at a hopeful for the role of the King-beyond-the-Wall, Mance Rayder. One can’t rule out some other role (a certain Magnar of Thenn, for example), of course, but still.

I’m not sure which is the more tantalizing piece of information, but I wouldn’t mind a better translation of the text than what Google translate has to say. Any Icelandic fans want to take a crack at that key bit towards the end? My familiarity with Swedish is utterly unhelpful with phrases like, “sem hefur þegar verið boðaður í prufu fyrir þáttaröð þrjú og fjögur.”
