SyFy has released the first look video for their forthcoming Nightflyers science-fiction horror series, based on George R.R. Martin’s novella “Nightflyers”. Watch it below, including comments from GRRM himself about the story:
Certainly seems like the producers have gone for a very cinematic look, and have spared no expense in terms of the sets they’ve built to represent the ship.
That said, this preview comes out just one day after word broke that Daniel Cerone, showrunner originally attached to the series has stepped away, and has been replaced with executive producer Jeff Buhler, who wrote the pilot. Cerone, a veteran producer with a number of series under his belt, was certainly more experienced than Buhler in that regard but at present there’s no information for why the change has taken place.
