The Targaryen banner. It’s amusing to think we may be to blame for the four legs on the dragon—our depiction mistakingly has (or had, we’ve just been lazy about getting our new version up) four limbs, only for GRRM to later remark that he had missed those little forelegs and in fact his dragons have just two legs. Of course, this may be a creative decision with more thought behind it than our wee little error!

There’s some question about where such a banner might appear in the episodes being shot. Among the possibilities are a flashback to the Targaryen reign, a banner hanging up during Daenerys’s wedding, or perhaps a sort of vision of Viserys’s belief that the Targaryen banner is kept in secret by many supposed loyalists.
