You an glimpse in the foreground the body of the mother to the pups. Yes, she’s huge. I saw the prop in the prop room at Paint Hall, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog of an equal size and bulk. Possibly a Irish Wolfhound gets a sense of the height of it at the shoulders, but it seemed much heftier.
If the show is granted additional seasons, it’ll be very interesting to see how they deal with the direwolf pups growing up.
