A shot between takes of James Cosmo (Lord Commander Jeor Mormont, also known as the Old Bear). A gentleman and a fine actor, James not only answered a few questions for the journalists and myself while I was there, but he dropped by the Belfast Moot, if briefly. The particular scene being readied here is the Lord Commander reading out the various assignments the recruits were going to receive as full-fledged members of the Night’s Watch. The dialog is almost word-for-word from the novel.
