Ah-ha. Shot in beautiful Dubrovnik, it looks like this scene is basically a different approach to Joffrey’s name day tourney, although in the novel the Hound pointedly chooses not to take part. So, it’s not a battle, but a single combat! You can see from the knights standing around and the people watching that this is an entertainment. So, very nice… but yes, I wish there was more jousting. Knights being on foot all the time just doesn’t quite capture what’s going on in the novels. Alas, horses don’t even know what hitting a mark is…
