Lord Eddard, already tired of the intrigues of King’s Landing, indicating that he doesn’t give a damn if everyone’s looking (though not in so many words). This is a nice piece of characterization, if you think about it, given that Ned’s frustration with the court started almost immediately upon his arrival.
