A great shot here of Lord Eddard entering the throne room of the Red Keep and seeing Ser Jaime casually seated on the steps of the dais, passing the time in a very idle fashion. For those who’ve read the novel, this shot is likely supposed to be reminiscent of the following description from Eddard of the scene in the throne room when he arrived after Jaime’s murder of the Mad King, less a body, a crowd of Lannister knights, and Jaime having the temerity to sit on the throne itself.
