A new subforum has been added for the purpose of discussing what fans would like to see in The World of Ice and Fire.
GRRM’s official site has been updated with the Quill Awards nomination for A Feast for Crows we reported on while at the WorldCon, as well as the news of the World of Ice and Fire, the forthcoming companion book for the series that we will be co-authoring with GRRM.
As GRRM points out in his update, any suggestions for what you would like to see in this book should be posted on the board. As soon as we get a chance to get settled in (we just returned from Las Vegas today), we will make available a sticky topic (or perhaps even a dedicated subforum) for the purpose of posting such suggestions, and we may also add a couple of polls.

A Feast for Crows has been nominated for this year’s Quill Awards in the categories of Best SF/Fantasy/Horror novel and Best Book of the Year (by dint of being nominated in the previous category). Congratulations to George for this achievement! As noted in the above link, this is a popular vote award, so go forth and vote!
GRRM’s official site has updated its “Life & Times” section, as well as “Cover Art” featuring foreign edition covers of the Hedge Knight graphic novel.
As previously reported, the A Game of Thrones RPG by the sadly now-defunct Guardians of Order, was nominated for a number of ENnie Awards. The results are in and while the game did not win first place, it took second place in three of the four categories in which it was nominated: Best Production Values, Best Game, and Best d20/OGL Product.
Mike S. Miller has announced that the lithographs of Robert and Rhaegar at the ruby ford are being sold for a limited time at $50 off the usual price. It’s a great time to purchase this authorized, limited edition item.

As some might recall, Testors recently cancelled all orders of its Ruby Ford miniatures by Tom Meier due to its recent merger. Today, Mike Butterworth at Testors has contacted us with a message to interested fans and collectors that should explain the cancellation and the future of the A Song of Ice and Fire product lines that Testors had planned:
A very preliminary program schedule for this year’s Worldcon has been published. It is, absolutely, subject to change.
Well, as the latest issue of Locus has announced this, it seems official. George R. R. Martin and Bantam have concluded a deal to publish a world book for A Song of Ice and Fire, which will provide a great amount of deal about the setting featured in A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, and A Feast for Crows. It’ll be copiously illustrated by some of the best artists in the industry and by some of the fan favorites.
Oh, and George’ll have a couple of co-authors on this endeavor, by the name of Elio M. García, Jr. and Linda Antonsson.

During this year’s Worldcon in Los Angeles, one of the official convention events will be a human chess match organized by the Brotherhood without Banners.
