An absolutely gorgeous sunset shot, as Daenerys looks out to the sea while Khal Drogo looks on. This takes place after her marriage, as her nuptial night is about to begin. It’s obviously different from the novels—the Dothraki fear and hate the sea, yet in the show the wedding takes place by the ocean—but it neatly brings in Daenerys’s thoughts of the storied Seven Kingdoms that her family was driven from, the regaining of which is the whole purpose of this marriage to a barbarian warlord.
