House Poole

General Information

House Poole serves the Starks in Winterfell. Vayon Poole is steward of Winterfell. He has only one daughter, Jeyne, who is a friend and constant companion of Sansa Stark.

Spoilers

Vayon Poole accompained joined Lord Eddard Stark to King’s Landing, seeing to the household he had in the Tower of the Hand. He was killed in the fighting in King’s Landing. Jeyne Poole was taken away from King’s Landing to some unknown destination by Lord Petyr Baelish, only to be brought back as the false Arya Stark to be wed to Ramsay Bolton (formerly Snow).

Jeyne weds Ramsay in the godswood of Winterfell, and suffers terrible abuses at his hands. Theon Greyjoy and the spearwives who infiltrated Winterfell with Mance Rayder attempt to escape with her, but their plan swiftly unravels and Theon and Jeyne are forced to leap from the high walls of Winterfell into the snowdrifts below. Somehow they survive and are captured by Mors Umber and his men, who turn them both over to Tycho Nestoris, the envoy of the Iron Bank of BRaavos. He delivers them to King Stannis as a gift.
