King Joffrey is escorting Sansa… into a sept with a Grecian-style nude of the Father? Well, that’s not exactly in keeping with the medieval Catholic Church-esque Faith, to say the least—he’d be appropriately covered up, as would all the other statues of the Seven in the Great Sept of Baelor (but that doesn’t seem to be the case—both the Mother and the Maiden are also depicted in various states of nudity, which was rather odd to our eye).
As to the scene itself, book readers can guess what’s going on, given Sansa’s new gown.
We do like the starry ceiling of the sept, though. There’s a mixture of architectural features which are rather pleasing.Copyright ©
