Westeros, the A Song of Ice and Fire domain, is the premier fan site for George R.R Martin's highly acclaimed epic fantasy series. Not yet a fan? Check out our spoiler-free review of the first book, A Game of Thrones, which provides a great introduction to the series. If you are new to the series, be aware that this site does contain spoilers for all published books. We have tried to mark each section that contains spoilers, but use the search with caution.

Among what Westeros has to offer is the largest discussion forum for A Song of Ice and Fire and an extensive wiki edited by members of the forum. On the website proper you will find news and information about the series and about mr. Martin's other projects. Westeros also hosts a site dedicated to the HBO-adaption of the books, Game of Thrones, and another popular feature is The Citadel, our archive of various setting resources. The site is also the home of of Blood of Dragons, a MUSH (an on-line, text-based role-playing game) set in Westeros.

Our aim is to provide up-to-date and comprehensive information about the series with a particular focus on how it relates to the books. We also invite everyone to join in the lively discussions on our forum for the series.

The Citadel

The Citadel aims at being an extensive archive of setting and story-related information A Song of Ice and Fire. From a collection of house heraldry to an exhaustive compilation of thematic details in the Concordance, the main goal is to provide factual information.

The site also includes a compilation of the prophecies encountered in the books, complete with our proposed interpretations..

Those new to the books should be aware that the site does not separate out information that might contain spoilers, so if you have not read all the books and stories set in Westeros, keep in mind that you may find yourself encountering spoilers in any of the sections of the Citadel.

Blood of Dragons

Blood of Dragons is a MUSH based upon George R.R. Martin's best-selling fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire. To dive right in and connect to the game, simply point your telnet client to bod.westeros.org:3000. Fully approved by the author, Blood of Dragons MUSH is set some 140 years prior to the books (and some 50 years prior to the novellas The Hedge Knight and The Sworn Sword), in the days and years following the Conquest of Dorne and in the time of such legends as Daeron I, the Young Dragon, Baelor the Blessed, Aegon the Unworthy and his brother Aemon the Dragonknight. The focus of the game is on the nobility of the Seven Kingdoms, with the open areas being the royal capital of King's Landing and Sunspear in Dorne, and the aim is to provide high-quality role-playing in a fascinating medieval-inspired setting.
