House Ashford of Ashford

General Information

Ashford is a market town in the Reach alongside the Cockleswent, a vassal stream to the Mander. The castle is a three-sided castle of stone with squat round towers thirty feet high at the points and thick crenellated walls running between them. Their motto is, “Our Sun Shines Bright.”

The only members of the house to appear have been Lord Ashford, his two sons, and maiden daughter, at the time of King Daeron II’s reign. During Robert’s War, Lord Tyrell’s van led by Randyll Tarly gave Robert one of his few defeats at Ashford.
