GRRM’s official site has been updated with a new entry regarding what George is presently reading, confirmation regarding Dabel Brothers Productions adapting "The Sworn Sword" with the help of Mike S. Miller (pencils) and Ben Avery (script), and an update to his appearances calendar.

George R. R. Martin Headlines Locus

Locus Magazine, the premiere trade magazine for the SF/F industry, will be publishing an interview with GRRM and, presumably, one or more reviews of A Feast for Crows in its 538th issue (available in November). George is featured on the cover.

GRRM Profiled In Sci-Fi Magazine

Sci-Fi Magazine, the official magazine of the Sci-Fi Channel, has a profile/interview with George R. R. Martin in its December edition. It promises to be quite interesting. If anyone has access to that magazine (its hard to come by in Sweden), please do send us a summary or a few short excerpts featuring any particularly juicy bits of information.

GRRM Audio Interview

We’ve just learned that The Dragon Page, an internet radio program, will be interviewing George next week. The interview should be made available on their site in mp3 format on the 31st.

Signing Information from GRRM

George has mailed out some information regarding his forthcoming signings, including the addition of new dates. The information can be read here.

Official Site Update

GRRMs official site has been updated with a new post to his weblog, Not a Blog. He discusses his travels over the last months and his gruelling schedule of forthcoming signing tours and apperances. He also discusses his one signing policy, which is that he’ll only sign three items at a time, but individuals are welcome to return to the end of the line to get three more items signed.

C-SPAN’s Book TV aired a panel program featuring several book reviewers, titled NYT Great Read in the Park: Book Reviews and Publishing (RealVideo stream available).

GRRM’s official site has been updated with a detailed announcement regarding the Art of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, including a partial list of contributing artists (among them fan artists such as Jenny Dolfen and Maria Luisa Gilibreti, and the promise of a portrait of Aegon the Conquerer and his sisters by the legenday John Schoenherr). Also new is the reopening of George’s Books for Sale site.

National Book Festival Webcast

A webcast of GRRM’s talk and Q&A at the National Book Festival has now been posted. George discusses his early days as a writer, his brief stint as an intern journalist in Washington, D.C. in the early 70’s, and a number of other topics. Particularly notable among his remarks is his plan to write a total of "nine or ten" Dunk & Egg stories (primarily between novels) and collecting them into book-form.

GRRM’s official site has been updated with a news item concerning the 17th Wild Cards novel, Death Draws Five, written by John J. Miller. The book has been scheduled for a January release in hardcover. More information regarding the novel can be found on the news page, as well as in this entry, which includes information concerning how to buy older volumes of the books straight from John. Also updated has been the "From My Readers" section, with a new entry in ASoIaF-inspired baby names.

For those who are really big fans of the series, it should be noted that John has been posting at the ASoIaF board, in the Other Authors forum, where he’s happy to answer questions.

GRRM’s official site has been updated with a detailed schedule of his UK Book Tour in late October. Also, it appears that the US tour signing at Half Moon Bay is back on. The Calendar has been updated accordingly.

GRRM’s official site has been updated with a number of new pieces of information. First, the cancelling of the Kepler’s signing has been confirmed; the other signing scheduled for the same day in Half Moon Bay has also been dropped. Further, George will not be appearing at NECon 26, but has appearance at the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. is back on. Our Calendar will be updated accordingly.

Finally, GRRM puts out a reminder that Subterranean Press’ Shadow Twin deluxe limited editions are running out fast. The books cover and interior art is provided by Michael Komarck. The regular limited edition can also be purchased via Clarkesworld Books.
