Fantasy Flight Games has announced that a second expansion for the A Game of Thrones board game will be released late summer 2005.
GRRM’s official site has been updated with a special Christmas offer. GRRM has purchased the last remaining copies of the limited edition of A Game of Thrones, published by Meisha Merlin, and will be offering those on sale for the publisher’s price of $250 until the end of the year. After that, the price will rise to 299.99.
The first 500 copies of this edition will only be available from Guardians of Order themselves, and each of these books will be numbered and signed by GRRM. Additional copies of this deluxe, dual-stat corebook will likely be available later on, but these will not be numbered or signed. Additionally, the book will be out in March 2005, some months ahead of the other editions.
As has become tradition, the Brotherhood without Banners and the ASoIaF message board are collecting money for gifts for GRRM and Parris. It’s been decided that we’ll be giving GRRM a miniature knight or two (from Brian Rodden, who produced the fantastic Robert at the Trident figure) and the continued sponsorship of Sasquatch the wolf for Parris.
Discussion of the gifts and instructions for donation can be found in the ATTN: GRRM Holiday Gift Fund thread.
GRRM’s official site has once more been updated. He notes (as we have already reported) that his TorCon speech has been printed by Asimov’s Science Fiction magazine. He also mentions several upcoming foreign-language editions of various books, including new Swedish editions of A Song of Ice and Fire!
GRRM’s official site has been updated once again, following the reactions to his previous update. This update includes a response from GRRM, since he is unable to personally respond to all those who have mailed. It also includes some more news about the progress of A Feast for Crows.
