HBO and Best Buy have partnered together for a special launch event at Best Buy’s Union Square store in New York City for the Game of Thrones: Complete Second Season Blu-ray and DVD sets (Pre-order: US Bluray, US DVD, UK Bluray, UK DVD), and it sounds like they’ve some exciting plans in store. Read on to learn just what’s going on… and how you can win a chance to get early access to the event!

The HBO/Best Buy launch event will feature the following:

• Musician Jason Yang—whose cover of the theme is among the most popular on Youtube—playing songs from the Game of Thrones soundtrack.
• Delicious food from the Seven Kingdoms cooked by Chelsea and Sariann of the Inn at the Crossroads, the writers behind the A Feast of Ice and Fire cookbook.
• An in-store event location decorated with banenrs, sigils, props, costumes, and photographs.
• A chance to wear a Night’s Watch cloak and “Take the Black”, along the lines of HBO’s Take the Black site.
• The first 300 attendees will receive a wristband that gives them the right to collect a gift bag containing Game of Thrones cookies by Elenei’s and a scarf featuring a house sigil.

Now, courtesy of HBO, we have an opportunity for one fan to get early access to the event, so that you can sample everything ahead of time. How do you take advantage of this opportunity? Simple!

First, you need to be absolutely sure you will be able to attend the event—early access would be at approximately 7:30PM—through its entirety, up through the midnight in-store event. Second, you need to be willing to provide us your first-hand account of the event, what you saw, tasted, got, and did! And finally… you just need to share/like/retweet this and send us a tweet, comment on this post, or on the article item on our Facebook Page or Google+ Page indicating your willingness and interest.

We’ll select the winner on Sunday afternoon, as well as one or two reserves. We’ll need to hear back as soon as possible to verify attendance and get the details we need to pass on to HBO to make sure they get a chance at early access, so whatever method you use to enter—FB, Google+, or Twitter—you should keep a close eye on it to make sure that you’ll see our message if you’re selected.
