Dabel Brothers Productions have posted about a pair of previews of the forthcoming The Sworn Sword comic book, adapted from the novella of the same and continuing the adventures of George R.R. Martin’s characters Dunk and Egg. The first preview is hosted at Newsarama, while the second is on their own site.
According to this entry at Subterranean Press, it looks like 5 copies of the lettered, limited edition of A Feast for Crows remain available to interested customers. It sounds like it’s shaping up to be a gorgeous book, featuring Thomas Canty’s luxurious art and design.
GRRM’s official site has been updated with news regarding Dabel Brothers Productions and Marvel Comics publishing a new, original Wild Cards series (previously reported on here), details of Bantam’s offering of Dreamsongs in two volumes (Volumes 1 and 2) with original illustrations by Mike Kaluta, and the expected announcement of the end of the licensing agreement with Testors.
Also added was a change in the A Dance with Dragons sample chapter available in the "Ice & Fire Sample" section, which is now a Daenerys chapter (already previously published), new cover art in "Cover Art", and a new entry in "From My Readers".

The Dabel Brothers have released a preview of the forthcoming Hedge Knight II: The Sworn Sword. The art is inked and narrative text is partially in place, but otherwise it’s unfinished. Also included in the preview is Lenil Yu’s variant cover for the first issue and a printable order form image which reveals that besides the Yu and Miller covers, there’ll also be a sketch variant cover.
Thanks to the Opus Fantasy Arts Festival, it looks like fans will be able to join George R. R. Martin, author of the acclaimed A Song of Ice and Fire series, for a Moroccan feast! A perfect chance to ask George about Dornish cuisine and customs, too. ;)

While not really news, it’s interesting to read Steve Jackson’s thoughts on the A Song of Ice and Fire roleplaying game license. In fact, the license is one that Jackson would have been interested in pursuing, but not this year when Steve Jackson Games is focused on its popular Munchkin card game. Steve also states that he’s a fan of George’s work, especially A Song of Ice and Fire.
The good folks at Jalic have posted a Frequently Asked Questions list to answer some of the common queries. They discuss price point, materials, future plans, and more.
GRRM’s official site has been updated once again, now with a news item with the information about the forthcoming line of A Song of Ice and Fire arms and armour from Valyrian Steel. The update includes an image showing the final design for the first sword that will be made, Longclaw.
Just a quick update on the previously noted award nomination that the forum has been put up for.
We’re firmly in second place in the contest for ARWZ’s first annual award, but we’re well behind first place. I suspect we can do a lot better than that, so get the votes moving! The contest is running to the 1st of May, so that does give fans of the forum time to help us catch up.

At last, DB Pro and Marvel solicit The Sworn Sword (original URL). It should be on sale on July 20th, and there will be a variant cover by Lenil You.
The solicitation also notes that the Hedge Knight hardcover is still available.
One of the new licensees that GRRM recently hinted has been unveiled: Valyrian Steel, a subsidiary of Jalic Blades, who plan to produce limited edition replicas of notable weapons from the series, from the Valyrian steel sword Longclaw (a picture of which George plans to have on his site along with a fuller announcement) to Arya’s bravo’s sword. Their site features a blog currently, providing more information on their plans for the future.
GRRM’s official site has been updated with a new “Not a Blog” entry” discussing licenses for his works. He’s revealed that he has signed four licensing deals which have yet to be announced, and which will not be announced until the licensess are prepared to announce them. At least one of the licenses has to do with Wild Cards, and he’s noted that he’s allowed one license to expire after noting that not all of the licensing agreements have worked out as he had hoped.
Daniel Abraham provides a few more details on the previously reported new Wild Cards comic book series from Dabel Brothers Productions and Marvel Comics.
