Hunter’s Run Preorder Availability

Hunter’s Run, the novel that grew out of George R. R. Martin’s collaboration with Gardner Dozois’s and Daniel Abraham’s science fiction novella “Shadow Twin”, is now available for preorder via Amazon.com.

Warriors Anthology

According to this interview with Robin Hobb, she’ll be contributing to an anthology titled Warriors edited by Gardner Dozois and George R.R. Martin. She indicates that the anthology won’t be published for at least a year, however, so it seems it’s in the early stages yet.

Valyrian Resin Online

Valyrian Resin have opened their official website, which includes sketches and photos of the sculptures. Most importantly, they also have pre-orders up. The three sculptures are limited to 2500 each, and are priced at $54.99. Do poke around, and consider pre-ordering now to help get these collectibles into the hands of fans.

Painted Eddard Stark

Completing the trifecta of Valyrian Resin’s previews of their forthcoming resin statues, they’ve now posted images of the painted Ned Stark figure. They also reiterate their plans to show the figures at Comic-Con and then open up pre-ordering.

Daenerys Stormborn Resin Preview

Following up on their preview of the Hound, the hardworking folks at Valyrian Resin have released their first photos of the painted Daenerys Targaryen sculpture.

Full-Color Hound

The gentlemen at Valyrian Resin have just images of their Sandor Clegane resin bust following preliminary painting. The helmet is not yet shown, and there are some tweaks to come. We’ve also learned from Justice Joseph that Valyrian Resin will be displaying at San Diego Comic-Con, so keep an eye out for them if you’re there!

Another Dreamsongs Reader

As George has previously mentioned, he’ll be joined by a number of professional readers and actors in recording the audiobook version of Dreamsongs (Volume 1, Volume 2). It’s just been announced on the official site of Adrian Paul (best known for his work on the Highlander television series) will be one of those readers.

RIP Hunter Rose

We are saddened to report that Vincent Briscuso, also known as Hunter Rose, has passed away recently. Vincent is best known in the fan community for his exhaustive A Song of Ice and Fire chapter summaries site, a widely used resource. Our condolences are extended to his family and friends.

Longclaw’s Pommel

Valyrian Steel has posted an image of the pommel for the replica they’re making of Jon Snow’s sword, Longclaw. They also include some progress information on other fronts, such as the preparation of the Certificates of Authenticity for sending on to GRRM for signing.

Official Site Update

GRRM’s official site has been updated with a post-InConJunction post at “Not a Blog”. In it, he discusses the prologue for A Dance with Dragons, which he read at the convention, and what he thinks he needs to revise in some detail.

Amok Forums Reborn

After a long absence due to technical problems, Amok’s forums have found a new home. With his permission, the gallery of Ice and Fire images are being posted in separate forum pages.

So Spake Martin Update

The So Spake Martin collection has been updated with a link to a new interview with GRRM at iTunes, and a report from a Q&A at InConJunction.

Sworn Sword Available for Online Order

Following the release of Hedge Knight II: The Sworn Sword #1, the gentlemen at Dabel Brothers Productions have noted that they’re making it easier for fans to get ahold of the series by ordering it online through their online store.

Westeros.org has been immortalized in the latest My Elves are Different comic. Alas, it’s not entirely for good reasons, but the comic is amusing.

Dance with Dragons Update

George has made a new entry on his “Not a Blog”, discussing his progress on A Dance with Dragons, the fact that he’s hired a personal assistant, and his debating not attending a Worldcon for the first time after 21 years.
