Blood of Dragons

The 'A Song of Ice and Fire' MUSH

Chronicle

144 AC

The year 144 AC saw a new lord rise at Seagard, a Connington household death reshape fosterage and service, and Lord Lyonel Hightower’s natural children receive legitimacy. These changes placed several later court figures into the kinship and service networks that would shape their public lives.

Month 4

Day 1: Joscelyn Mallister, riding disguised as Ser Celyn, won the tourney at Stone Hedge for Belarra Bracken’s sixteenth nameday and revealed himself as heir to Seagard. He then received word that his father had died, making his victory also the day on which he became Lord of Seagard.

Month 7

Day 17: Lady Gallisa Connington died in childbed after giving birth to a stillborn child. Her death changed the household of Lord Athell Connington and helped send her young son Almer into Reach fosterage.

Month 8

Day 13: Almer Connington was sent to foster at Highgarden after his mother’s death in childbed. There he entered the Tyrell household, formed close ties with Ardon and Reyna Tyrell, and began the rivalry with young Lord Lyonel Tyrell that would later become public.

Month 9

Day 18: The union between Lord Lyonel Hightower and Lady Sam was legitimized, and their children Bradwell, Lia, Lyrissa, Melarra, Myles, and Perwyn became Hightowers. The act publicly settled the standing of a large branch of Lord Hightower’s issue.
