Tourneys at Pebble and Highgarden.

Month 2

Day 3: A tourney at Pebble, arranged in honor of Lord Renly Pryor’s fiftieth nameday. Among those attending are Lord Manfred Dondarrion and his eldest sons, Ser Ryman and Ser Doran, as well as Lord Whalon Rosby, Lord Kendel Darklyn, and others. Lord Whalon Rosby defeats Doran Dondarrion in the final joust. Lord Kendel Darklyn, impressed by the marcher knight, arranges for his heir Tarrell to squire for Ser Doran.

Month 8

Day 20-22: Lord Lyonel hosts a tourney outside of Highgarden which draws many competitors. Among those who perform notably are Ser Doran Dondarrion, Ser Almer Connington, Ser Jaesin Lannister, Ser Olyvar Oakheart, and Ser Dareon Costayne. Ser Almer unhorses Lyonel Tyrell before the entire Tyrell family without breaking a lance. However, it’s Ser Jaesin who wins the tourney in the end, after being one of the final four competitors along with Ser Dareon the Daring, Ser Almer, and Ser Josten Arryn.

An enraged Lord Lyonel later seeks revenge against Ser Almer in the melee on the final day of the tournament, but breaks his sword in the process. Ser Almer unintentionally shames Lyonel by offering him his own sword, then beating Tyrell to unconsciousness with his mace, a weapon Almer is known to disdain. Ser Almer goes on to win the melee.
